Protocol tips
- cells were fixed in ice-cold 70% ethanol at 4°C for >12h.

- After staining cells were incubate 15 minutes instead of 10min.

Publication protocol

After treatment, cells were fixed in ice-cold 70% ethanol at 4°C for >12h, washed twice with PBS and then exposed to PI/RNase A solution for 10min. The percentage of apoptotic cells (sub-G 1 ) and cell cycle distribution were analyzed by flow cytometry.
