Publication protocol

One volume of 2× loading buffer (60 mm Tris-HCl, pH 6.8, 2.5% SDS, 10% glycerol, 5% β-mercaptoethanol, and 0.03% bromphenol blue) was added to protein samples. After boiling for 5 min, SDS-PAGE was performed, and proteins were electrotransferred to PVDF membranes (Roche Applied Science). After probing with primary and secondary antibodies, membranes were finally analyzed by chemiluminescence with an ECL system (Amersham Biosciences).
