Protocol tips

Upstream tips
-These buffers may be stored at 4°C for several weeks or aliquoted and stored at -20°C for up to a year.
Protocol tips
-Rabbit (1:1000)
-To reduce and denature your samples, boil each cell lysate in sample buffer at 100°C for
5 min. Lysates can be aliquoted and stored at -20°C for future use.

Publication protocol

Lysates from cultured cells or brain homogenates were separated by SDS–polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and electroblotted to PVDF membranes. Bound proteins were probed with the following primary antibodies: rabbit anti‐Glut1 monoclonal antibody (clone EPR3915, 1 : 1000; Abcam, Cambridge, UK), rabbit anti‐Hdac2 polyclonal antibody (1 : 200; Genetex, Irvine, CA, USA) or rabbit anti‐β‐actin polyclonal antibody (1 : 1000; Genetex). Chemiluminescent signal was detected using LAS3000 (Fuji Film, Tokyo, Japan) after treatment with peroxidase‐conjugated anti‐rabbit IgG (GE healthcare), followed by enhanced chemiluminescence reaction (GE healthcare). Densitometric quantification was carried out by ImageJ.
