Publication protocol

Alkaline comet assays (Cell Biolabs STA-355) were performed to measure total DNA lesions, including DNA bases, single-strand breaks (SSBs), and DSBs, were assessed using single-cell gel electrophoresis. Slides were stained with SYBR green and visualized by using a Leica DM5500 microscope. Comet tail lengths were quantified by NIH ImageJ software. Each data point was calculated as an average of 100 cells, and samples were performed in triplicate for each treatment group.
